We are turnkey heavy civil industrial contractor self-performing site development, concrete, railroad and pile driving, including:
- Complete Site Development (Mass Cut/Fill, Excavation, Import/Export, Laydown Yards, etc.)
- Underground Utilities (Firewater, Drainage, Stormwater, sanitary sewer, etc.)
- Concrete (Structural Foundations, Water Holding Structures above ground and below, paving, etc),
- Railroad (Turnkey railroad systems including the subgrade, repairs, maintenance)
- Pile Driving (Driven concrete, timber, steel piles and sheetpiles)
We are an industrial contractor and work for petrochemical and refining clients. We do have a commercial division which performs work “outside the gates” for our customers.
Standard Constructors works mostly along the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast from Corpus Christi, Texas to New Orleans, Louisiana. We will consider projects in other locations and have performed projects in numerous other states.
Yes, and though this is rare, we have performed a significant amount of railroad work in Jamaica, and explored projects for clients in Guam, Canada, Central and South America.

We are proud to be a 4th generation family business dating back to 1939 and incorporated in 1989.
Standard Constructors is based in Houston, Texas. We are conveniently located near Hobby Airport and the Houston Ship Channel.
The requirements vary depending on the plant you will be working in. However, our minimum requirements are a background check, drug screening and basic plus and SCI site specific training.
Standard Constructors owns a fleet of heavy equipment and trucks which we utilize for our projects and do not sell to the public.
